Köln/Cologne

21:33 germany

We have decided to make a trip up north this week. While we will be staying at the in-laws (oh no!), our goal is to see Cologne. I am anxious to see the Dom. From what I read, it is up there in importance and beauty with St. Peter’s in Rome and Notre Dame in Paris. (Yes, I realize that there are many other important cathedrals in Europe, but I have been to those two!) Of course we will be checking out the rest of the city too and I will be taking the digital camera along. Watch for pictures of Cologne next week!

Anybody know of any good, moderately-priced restaurants in Cologne?

    Hello Ren?e,

restaurants –> what do you want to eat? If you would like to have normal salads/soup/pasta in a local hang out - Go to Quatro Carni on EhrenStrasse (shopping street - quite famous). If you would like to go to bars - go to Friesenplatz where there are tons of them. For reasonably nice food and drinks in a nice evironment, there is the All Bar One. For otehr resturants - there is a nice Indonesian called “Bali” in Belgische Verteil. There is also another Italian very nice, pretty surrounding called Hase on St.Apern Strasse not far from Ehrenstrasse. You can get so many different restaurants in Cologne and teh crowd is young, lively and friendly.

Enjoy Cologne especially now when the weather is nice.
