But Costner's accent (and Slater's too) always bothers the hell out of me, as well.</description>

		<description>I almost cringe to say that I like the movie too. I think it's because it's not often that movies are shot on location at places where I went running when I was growing up. And of course it was Alan Rickman, I went through a real phase of thinking he was great - I certainly thought he was a show-stealer in Robin Hood, but anyway. As an Englishman with the ability to tell if someone's accent is from the next village, never mind a voice-coached American, I never expected a film like that to get the accents correct - nor the etymology of the words used. No, the thing that got me was the geographical switching - he arrives back in England and kisses the sand at the white cliffs on the south coast, by mid-afternoon he's walking along Hadrian's wall on the border to Scotland. It's a smallish country, but it's not *that* small....</description>
