Happy Dance: Cat in Garden

Last night, I finished “Cat in Garden,” a piece that I have been working on since March of this year. I have had issues with this piece since I started it, so I am definitely glad to be finished with it.

I estimate that I was about 25% finished with this piece when I picked it back up and stuck into my rotation system. Given that, I think it took me about 60 hours to finish this 7″ wide by 9″ tall free DMC pattern. It is the first large piece I decided to do on Evenweave fabric, so since I was still learning my way around Evenweave (vs. Aida cloth), there are more frogs in it than I would normally like.

All in all though, I’m pleased with the way it turned out and once I get it framed it will fit nicely into my collection of stitched cats.
