Stitcher’s Sampler

15:52 coming soon

I discovered the “Stitcher’s Sampler” while I was surfing my online needlework shop looking for a pattern to make my friend Brooke’s brand new baby a sampler. I ordered it when I ordered half a dozen other patterns, but when my patterns came in the mail a couple of days later, there was a note saying that it had been back-ordered.

The “Stitcher’s Sampler” finally came in the mail a day or two ago and ever since I have been making plans to stitch it. It is going to be a good sized piece. On 28 count it will be 8″x14″, but I have been thinking about doing it on 32 count white (or ivory) linen. Of course, I don’t have any so I will have to go buy some, along with a few floss colors.

I really can’t wait to start it, but I must be disciplined. First, I told myself I had to finish “Cat in Garden,” which I did. Second I need to do a 15 hour rotation on “Passing Admirers,” and third, I need to work some more on “Brooke’s Baby’s Sampler.” Ideally, I would like to wait until after the first of the year to start it, but I don’t know if I will make it.
