May Round-Up
28 May 2005
Since May is just about over, I thought it was time to do a little monthly round-up. I am doing this because this is the first full month that I worked with goals and I am curious to see how I did.
First off, a quick May goal reminder:
1.) Stitch at least 90 minutes per day.
2.) Stitch 15-20 hours on “Passing Admirers.”
3.) Start and finish EMS RR square.
4.) Start EMS’s “Kitten Baby.”
1.) I managed to stitch at least 90 minutes all but 7 days between April 29 and May 28. Of those 7 days, I stitched for an hour on 4 of them and skipped stitching all together on 3 of them. Most days I averaged over two hours and two days I clocked in at 6 hours!
Seriously, I think this is probably the most I have stitched in one month since I first started stitching! I am quite pleased with my 90 minute a day running goal though and think that I will carry it over into June.
2.) I made some amazing progress on “Passing Admirers” this month! Not only did I surpass this month’s 20 hour mark (20.25 hours), I finally completed Polly’s dress and am steadily working my way through the baby buggy. I am planning on working on “Passing Admirers” for the rest of the month and hope to get at least 5 more hours in on it.
I have also decided that “Passing Admirers” will be my focus piece until I am finished with it.
3.) As I mentioned on Wednesday, I have completed my EMS RR square and as soon as I make the travel log and get it all packed up, I will be sending it on to my RR buddy.
4.) *blush* I didn’t even get the “Kitten Baby” kitted up!
The reasons for this were twofold. I have a small collection of Ellen’s babies and decided that instead of stitching each of them individually I would like to stitch certain ones together in the form of a bell pull. About the time I was making my plans for the bell pull, the “Little Stitch Devils” were released and I fell in love with them. As soon as my order with them in it arrived, I started stitching them instead!
I have a lot of EMS patterns and I need to start stitching them. Therefore, as long as I started one of her designs it doesn’t matter which, right?
I also managed to start four other projects in May. Three of them I finished (”Little Cactus,” “Frühlings-Mix,” and “Cheery Flower”) and I am still working on the fourth one, Mirabilia’s 2001 Freebie, “Guardian Cherub.”
