Today Dawn got her birthday exchange piece in the mail, so now I can finally show a picture of it!
I stitched her one of the cats from Margaret Sherry’s “Cats of the Zodiac” collection. Obviously since Dawn is a Scorpio, that is the cat that I did for her! I stitched it on part of the piece of 27 count Linda that I hand-dyed sometime back in July and made it into a flanged pillow.
I never really found any decent, free flanged pillow instructions out on the web, so using pictures of ones that I saw online I made up my own method for putting the pillow together and it worked really well. I loved the way this pillow turned out so much that if I hadn’t made it specifically for Dawn I would have had a hard time sending it on its way! 
I also included some Munich postcards and some German chocolate in her birthday package.
So, even though her birthday isn’t officially until Tuesday, why don’t you hop on over to her blog sometime between now and then and wish her a happy birthday?
