According to my highly sophisticated guesstimation system, I believe that I can safely say that I am now about 55% complete with “Catch the Wind.” As you can obviously see, I finished Anna’s skirt today and next week I will move onto her arms. What to say about this project? Not a whole lot: It is going smoothly, it is fun to stitch, and I definitely look forward to stitching on it each Tuesday.
Speaking of Tuesday, the reason that I stitch CtW on Tuesdays is because it is my SAL day with Cathy. About a month ago she told me that she was going to put hers aside for a while so she could focus on some other things, but I think she started working on it again last week.
I am just a wee bit jealous because Cathy is pretty close to a happy dance on her CtW. Though I didn’t figure I could, I must admit that I have been trying to catch up with her ever since I started mine because I thought it would be cool if we could finish about the same time. However, she has a huge head-start on me (I think she started in August vs. my December start) so despite my best efforts she will probably be done before me.
Nevertheless, each week that I work on CtW it puts me a little closer to finishing mine when Cathy finishes hers and if we are lucky we will both be finished before the end of the summer. And that would definitely be sweet! ![]()

Cathy says:
With how slowly I’ve been stitching lately, we may finish at the same time! I’ve decided that when I do finish CtW, I’m going to start on MLI’s Sweet Dreams, so we’ll still sort of be doing a SAL even if I do finish before you.
