Weekend Report
28 May 2006 22:47 round robins, exchanges, & gifts, wips
So this is how I spent my weekend:
On Friday I started and finished Pansy #10 on “Stiefmütterchen.” This pansy didn’t impress me all that much. I like the colors, but the shape of the flower seems rather peculiar.
However, with only 6 more pansies to go I will have a happy dance soon! In fact, if I give it a little extra attention I might even get finished within the next month.
Of course, the prospect of finally finishing “Stiefmütterchen” has me thinking about what to put in my Friday slot when I am finished. (Cart before the horse, I know!) Currently TW’s “Tapestry Cat” and Mirabilia’s “Shimmering Mermaid” are both calling to me, but I am leaning a little more toward “Tapestry Cat” because I already have the fabric for it. However, I always reserve the right to change my mind if something else tickles my fancy between now and then.
On Saturday I worked a little on “Celtic Spring,” but not enough to warrant a progress picture.
Today I worked on my Friendship Exchange piece for Ash. I finished the stitching and prepared it for the actual finishing. It is a bit late to pull out my sewing machine tonight so the plan is to finish it first thing tomorrow.
I know tomorrow is Memorial Day in the U.S. so I hope everyone has a safe one… and if someone happens to have a barbeque, could you throw a steak on the grill and think of me? ![]()

I think your pansy looks fun, and it’s always exciting to think about the next project…

Hi Renee! Great way to spend your Sunday..stitching and getting things done. You are doing far better than I am! LOL I haven’t done any stitching today…just reading the paper and grocery shopping. LOL No BBQ’s here…as it’s way too hot to have one!
But I did see plenty of hamburgers, hotdogs, steaks and other stuff leave the store…so I’m sure someone will have a steak in your honor!
Have a great day!
