Round Robins and Recipes

As predicted, I finished my square for Leslie’s Lizzie*Kate Seasonal Samplers Round Robin today. If you can believe it, this was my first Lizzie*Kate pattern and I must say that I really enjoyed it.
I am quite happy with the way the overdyes turned out, though I can’t say that I am completely converted just yet. It was a bit of a challenge and took some active thinking on my part to remember to stitch one stitch at a time and I am not sure if I did it the “right” way, but the back looks neat so I don’t think Leslie will complain. ![]()
It feels really good to get this round robin piece done so far ahead of the post date as it will give me one less thing to stress about before I pack my things and fly back to the US.
Though I am still working on my replacement recipe exchange piece, I think I can get it finished this week and then I can stick both the exchange and the robin in one package to send to Christine… Hopefully no one will steal it this time!
And speaking of the recipe exchange, I got a cute little kitchen-themed wall-hanging made by Cari on Friday. She also included a recipe for Lime Pie and a fat-quarter of 32 count Pearled Barley from Lakeside Linens. I have to tell you, Lime Pie sure sounds good right now, but I will probably wait to make it until I get back to the US because I have never seen either pre-made graham cracker pie crust or graham crackers so I can make my own here.
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. ![]()
