Finishes and Weekend Plans

18:38 round robins, exchanges, & gifts, stitch-a-thon

Today I put the finishing touches on the second of the two exchanges that I have due in the next three days. I am not sure what I was thinking when I decided to sign up for two exchanges that were due within days of each other, but I must say that I have been impressed with the way I managed the situation.

The stitching on both exchanges has been done for a couple of weeks but it wasn’t until this week that I got around to the finishing. The finishing for the first exchange (the recipe exchange) took longer than planned, but in the end it turned out really cute. I think my partner will like it. Finishing the second exchange (the summer exchange) didn’t take very long and I love the way it turned out… I wish I could keep it for myself! Now I just need to pack them up and take them to the post office tomorrow morning.

I can’t believe it, but it is already the third weekend in July and time for the Friend’s Gather monthly stitch-a-thon. Because I am getting close to a finish, I have decided to work on “Catch the Wind” this month. My stitch-a-thon is only going to last today and tomorrow though because I need to work on my round robins at least a little bit this weekend so that I don’t get behind. As a result, instead of trying to completely finish Mary as I would like to do, my goal is merely to finish her skirt and hopefully get a good start on the ruffle.

And now, it is time for supper and then I will be picking up my needle while I watch Cold Case and Without a Trace. (My current two favorite shows.) Have a good weekend and look for an update of “Catch the Wind” on Saturday! :)
