Oh, our state fair has funnel cakes! They are easy to make, so we make them at home every now and then. Funnel cakes are quite expensive at the fair.

Our state fair has lots of food that doesn't come on a stick.

I have been to some quilt shows in West Virginia, but I noticed that some of the quilts are becoming quite artsy. Different types of materials are being used, and they aren't traditional block quilts. I like the new type, but I prefer the more traditional block quilts.

The Cultural Center in Charleston, WV usually hangs the best quilts in its lobby. No fee to see the quilts, though they are so high up that I don't really enjoy this particular exhibit.

Funnel cakes just don't strike me as fair food. For that, it would have to come on a stick.

I have read your blog for quite awhile, but then things were quiet and I thought you had quit blogging. I thought I would check tonight and was glad to see that things are looking up for you. Life is too short to be miserable!

I can certainly understand how difficult it would be to remain in Germany alone. I admire you for having the courage to do what you needed to do. It is never easy to end a relationship.

I wish you all the best! And I hope you keep blogging!
