My 2007 stitching plan is coming, but I thought I would finally take a minute share a picture of my last finish of 2006, “Home of a Needleworker,” first!
Home of a Needleworker
Little House Needleworks
32 count Cream Belfast Linen
DMC Fibers
6/23/06 - 12/24/06
If you look at the earlier pictures of this piece you will notice that I stitched the date on it way back in June. I started this piece before I made all those monumental changes in my life and I always assumed that I would have it finished no later than September.
Well, if I would have known that it was going to sit in the WIP pile for a couple of months while I got resettled, I would definitely have waited to stitch the date last. I suppose I could have always removed it and restitched it if I would have carried it over into this year, but that 2006 sure gave me a little extra motivation to finish it before I rang in 2007!

That’s a great design! I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before, but then it’s been ages since I was in my LNS or stitching. Must add it to my wish list.

Beautiful finish! Congratulations on using the date to spur you on to a finish instead of frogging it in favor of a 2007 finish.
