Despite having to work yesterday, I managed to get a fair amount of stitching done over the weekend. I am three hours away from finishing my ten-hour rotation on “Spring Queen,” but I decided to show some progress nonetheless.
I don’t really have much to say about Queenie: So far she is stitching up nicely. I did, however, realize today that I don’t have any of the DMC 5282 that this design calls for. Once I discovered that it is a metallic gold, I decided that I will probably substitute it for the Rainbow Gallery Petite Braid 01 that I had left over from “Celtic Spring” though, so it was no big deal.
I also have a little Halloween fob nearly complete except for stuffing it with poly-fil (which I am currently out of) and attaching the cord. I am not in too big of a hurry though… it isn’t for an exchange so I still have 23 days left before Halloween to finish it!

Thank you to everyone who left me thoughts concerning the recent loss of Harley. I had a rough few days, but it is slowly getting better. Unfortunately, her diagnosis turned out to be terminal. Therefore in all honesty, I am glad she chose her time to depart and I didn’t have to watch her deteriorate any further or make a decision that I have always dreaded making. I will always love, miss, and remember her, my beautiful kitty.
