I really couldn’t think of anything to blog about today, so I did what I always to when I need to blog but have no ideas… surfed around until I found a meme! 
This meme comes from a site that I had never heard of before called Curious as a Cat.
1.) When you walk past mirrors or large windows, what’s the first thing you check in your reflection?
My hair. I don’t check to see if it is out of place or anything like that, rather I always look to see how long it is. My hair reaches almost to my waist and every time I verify that it just gives me a guilty little pleasure. I have spent most of my adult life waiting for my hair to get this long and now that it is I admire it every chance I get!
2.) When you were ten years old, how did you spend your free time?
I was 10 years old in 1984. It was a world before the World Wide Web, not every home had cable TV, and if you played video games you went to the arcade. When I was 10 I spent most of my free time reading, terrorizing my little sister, and (gasp!) playing outside.
3.) What person in your life defines the word “kindness”?
I work with a lady who I always think of as “nice” or “sweet,” but now that I think about it, perhaps “kind” would describe her better.
4.) How does purple (the color) make you feel?
I always find questions about the way colors make people feel interesting because honestly colors don’t make me feel a certain way. I like purple. I think it is a bold color and one of the few that looks good on most people. I think of things like Grape Kool Aid or the smell of a perfume I used to wear (it came in a purple bottle) when I hear “purple,” but it doesn’t make me feel anything.
5.) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.
One of the reasons I chose this particular set of questions (they are a couple of months old) was because of this picture. After all, when I saw it the first thing I thought of was “librarian!”
