After a very unproductive weekend where I neither blogged nor stitched because I was preoccupied with my so-called love life, I was back in full force working on “Snowman Wisdom” again tonight. I am almost there! I should finish tomorrow. 
Once I completed the “Love” snowman I moved on to the border underneath the snowmen that will contain the “live, laugh, love” saying. The chart called for the border to be stitched with Glissengloss Colorwash in Twilight, but since I didn’t have any I decided to substitute DMC Color Variations 4030. I matched the colors from the photograph in the model because I couldn’t find a conversion chart (I didn’t really look that hard either) and I think the DMC is a pretty good match to the Glissengloss.

I am in the store and just compared the Colorwash to the DMC. Great substitution. Almost a spot on match.
