bird January ‘08 Stitching Goals
1 January 2008

First of all, in December it was my plan to:

  1. Stitch, finish, and mail Outi’s replacement Birthday Exchange piece before Christmas. Sort of – I stitched and finished the exchange, but decided to hold off on mailing it.
  2. Participate in the December SAT. Yep! I didn’t get a whole lot of stitching accomplished since I was traveling, but I participated nonetheless.
  3. Work on “Poet’s Heart.” Nope!
  4. Work on “Kitty Cat Row.” Yep! Finished it too!

For January I hope to:

  1. Mail Outi’s belated birthday exchange.
  2. Work on “Fairy Flora.”
  3. Work on and maybe finish “Cool Cats.”
  4. Participate in the January SAT
  5. Start “Harvest Witch” (Sunday SAL with Dawn, start on SAT weekend)
  6. Start and finish a “small.”

Here’s to Great Stitching in O’Eight! :D

Finishes 2004-2008

  • 2004: 30
  • 2005: 37
  • 2006: 29
  • 2007: 22
  • Projected 2008 Finishes: 24

The two main goals for 2008 are to finish the WIPs that have been carried over from 2007 (some from 2006) and to complete two (2) projects a month.

I have not decided whether or not to rejoin the Project Challenge after I finish my 26 projects because I want to buy some stash. However, because I am undecided, I have chosen an additional 15 projects from my stash to stitch in 2008.

If I finish my WIPs and the projects I have listed here I will have 20 finishes. I want to finish 24 pieces in 2008, so the other four slots are open.

bird A Dismal November
30 November 2007

This month has to be the worst month I have had in meeting my stitching goals since I first started setting them back in April of 2005. :(

As a reminder, my November goals were to:

  1. Finish “Above the Clouds.” - No. I really tried, but just couldn’t do it.
  2. Stitch, finish, and mail Outi’s replacement Birthday Exchange piece. - No. I had a pretty severe attack of the frogs and had to put it away for a bit.
  3. Participate in the November SAT. - No. I had to work.
  4. Work on “Poet’s Heart.” - No. I didn’t even pull it out of the WIP pile.
  5. Start “Kitty Cat Row.” (My fabric has been shipped and should arrive any day now.) - Yes! I started it Tuesday and will upload a progress picture soon.

I am not really “upset” but I will admit that I am a bit disappointed. I had such high hopes for the month, but all I really managed to do was burn myself out.

Anyway, for December I hope to:

  1. Stitch, finish, and mail Outi’s replacement Birthday Exchange piece before Christmas.
  2. Participate in the December SAT.
  3. Work on “Poet’s Heart.”
  4. Work on “Kitty Cat Row.”
bird New Month, New Goals
1 November 2007

Egads! Is it goal day already!?

My goals for October were to:

  1. Get my rotation back on track. Sort of. I have apparently gone back to my screaming rotation, but that is OK I think.
  2. Participate in the October SAT. Yep! I got quite a bit done on Confetti too. Unfortunately, I haven’t worked on him much since then though…
  3. Stitch (and finish) something for Halloween. Yep! I stitched a little fob and sent it to Dawn.
  4. Resume posting the SBQ. Yep!

For November, I hope to:

  1. Finish “Above the Clouds.”
  2. Stitch, finish, and mail Outi’s replacement Birthday Exchange piece.
  3. Participate in the November SAT.
  4. Work on “Poet’s Heart.”
  5. Start “Kitty Cat Row.” (My fabric has been shipped and should arrive any day now.)
bird For October
1 October 2007

It’s the first of the month again and time for my goals.

My goals for September were to:

  1. Get moved and start my new job. - Yes!
  2. Continue working through my rotation. - Umm… Sort of. When I had a chance to stitch I focused mainly on “Poet’s Heart.” But it’s in my rotation… right?!
  3. Participate in the September SAT. - Yes! I had a little happy dance too!
  4. If fabric arrives, start “Kitty Cat Row.” – No. I still haven’t received the fabric! (Note to self: Check on order)

For October, I plan to:

  1. Get my rotation back on track.
  2. Participate in the October SAT.
  3. Stitch (and finish) something for Halloween.
  4. Resume posting the SBQ.
