I stumbled across this while I was visiting The Stitcher in the Green Bikini and just couldn’t pass it up. First, the rules:
a. Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr Search.
b. Using only the first page, pick an image.
c. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into fd’s mosaic maker.
The Questions:
- What is your first name? Renee
- What is your favorite food? Indian
- What high school did you go to? Small Town Iowa High
- What is your favorite color? Blue
- Who is your celebrity crush? Hugh Laurie
- Favorite drink? Coke
- Dream vacation? England or India
- Favorite dessert? Cheesecake
- What you want to be when you grow up? Happy
- What do you love most in life? Four Cats
- One word to describe you: Independent
- Your flickr name: blondelibrarian
As usual, I couldn’t be bothered to follow the rules exactly, so here are my differences.
#2 - I had to search for Indian food to actually get a picture of food.
#3 - I had to drop “High” from my search because it didn’t come up with anything useful. I also searched for Small Town, Iowa’s real name, not “Small Town, Iowa”.
#7 - I couldn’t decide which place is more my dream… and besides the setup I chose needed 13 pictures, not 12.
#12 - I searched for blondelibrarian as two words.
1.Renee, 2.Indian (food), 3.Small Town, Iowa, 4.Blue, 5.Hugh Laurie, 6.Coke, 7.England, 8.India, 9.Cheesecake, 10.Happy, 11.Four Cats, 12.Independent, 13.blondelibrarian

top destinations:
Alice Springs Ciudad Perdida Tahiti |
stay away from:
Venice Paris Tokyo |
I like the description, but am not sure about the travel destinations. I love Paris, have always dreamed of one day visiting Venice, and think Tokoyo would be cool. Of course, Tahiti has always been on my dream vacation list, and after reading a bit about them, I must admit Alice Springs and Ciudad Perdida also sound intriguing!
OK, let me be honest… There are very few places that I wouldn’t go!

“Why the Cat says ‘Meow’,” a fable by the blondelibrarian
As we all know, cats are very vain creatures. It was this very vanity that resulted in the infamous cat’s meow.
For you see, long ago in ancient Egypt when cats were worshipped they could also talk and their favorite thing to say was “Me so pretty.” (Hey I said they could talk. I didn’t say they had good grammar!) They said it whenever they happened to stroll by a mirror, when they were being groomed, while they were guarding the grain storage from mice, after they had dinner, before they were tucked into bed at night, and pretty much at any other time they felt like it.
By and by came a queen who enjoyed favor with the gods and goddesses, but didn’t especially care for cats. She grew weary of hearing them say “Me so pretty” over and over again and finally had a conference with the gods and goddesses voicing her displeasure. The queen learned that the gods and goddesses were also tired of the cats’ vanity. So they decided to give her a special power to punish the cats for their vanity once and for all. With her new power, the queen would be able to take away the cats’ power of speech, except for the last word they uttered when she cast her spell.
The next morning, the queen went for a walk in her garden and found that instead of guarding the precious grain storage from mice like he was supposed to be doing, the head cat was sitting in front of a mirror and cooing “Me so beautiful,” while being groomed.
Furious, the queen decided to use her power. She swiftly came up behind the cat and as he started to say “Me so pretty” once again, she accidentally stepped on his tail right after he said “Me.” Because she stepped on his tail, in the same breath that the cat uttered “Me” it was followed by “Ow!” It was at this very moment that the queen cast her spell and the last word curse was cast on all of catkind.
From then on the only word they could utter would be “Me..Ow!”… And so it was done. The cats lost their power of speech and were demoted to having to use only one word (meow) to voice all of their feelings; whether they were happy, sad, angry, or sorry.
The moral of the story is that vanity can be painful. The End.

A Kitty’s Christmas
‘Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the house
Not a creature was stirring,
Not even a mouse.
‘Cuzz the cat had pounced on him
And tore him apart -
Ate his mouse intestines
And chewed up his heart.
Kitty thought he heard sleighbells,
Which made him take pause -
He stopped daintily licking
The blood from his claws.
“Must be Santa,” thought Kitty
(That quite clever cat)
‘Cuz nobody else climbs down
The chimney like that.
Indeed it was ol’ Santa
So jolly and fat
With a huge load of presents
And all for the cat!
“Wow, the best Christmas ever!”
Kitty thought with a purr,
Then he coughed up a hairball
And shed some more fur.
